Random Pokémon Generator: how it works
Use this random Pokémon generator to draw 1–6 unique species. Choose a generation, type, evolution stage or shiny sprites, then spin again.
GOOD QUESTIONS
A few things to know
How do I generate a random Pokémon?
Choose your filters and press Generate. Every eligible species has the same chance of being drawn, and a single draw contains no duplicate species.
Does the random Pokémon generator wheel change the odds?
No. Wheel mode animates the same uniformly sampled result. It is a reveal effect, not a weighted prize wheel.
Can I generate random shiny Pokémon?
Turn on Shiny sprites to show the alternate color palette for every result. This does not simulate the shiny encounter odds in any game.
Why did I get fewer Pokémon than requested?
Your filters may contain fewer distinct species than the requested count. We show every eligible species once instead of silently relaxing your filters.
Does this generator modify a Pokémon game?
No. It creates a browser result and a downloadable chart. It never changes a save file or provides game downloads.
